Celebrating 90 years, Yoshida & Co. presents the “Every day is a new beginning” exhibition, a tribute to founder Yoshida Kichizo’s enduring legacy, offering visitors a glimpse into the company’s 90 years of craftsmanship.
The exhibition showcases never-before-seen items, such as the handcart Kichizo used to sell bags post-war, a bag crafted for Akira Kurosawa’s film “High and Low” and Kichizo’s signature horseshoe-shaped coin purse and trunk case. Additionally, exclusive silkscreened posters by Tadanori Yokoo, designed for the 90th anniversary, and other limited-edition items will be available for purchase.
Since its establishment in 1935, Yoshida & Co. has upheld a commitment to “Made in Japan,” meticulously crafting bags with a philosophy of “bags as tools,” prioritizing functionality and imbuing every stitch with heart and soul.
