What once was an empire stacked atop a mountain of mesh basketball shorts and sweatsuit sets is no more. While still undoubtedly an empire, the modern-day Eric Emanuel brand ethos extends far beyond just its classic cuts and storied silhouettes.
The designer’s namesake label’s Fall/Winter 2025 collection embodies the imprint’s current casting of a much wider net in the ready-to-wear realm. Well-tailored and cut-and-sewn to a premier degree, the new range pushes EE’s sartorial codes to a new level, while revelling in a relatable sense of nostalgia.
“Our brand will always remain true to the sports-centric pieces we’re known for – the shorts aren’t going anywhere – but, as I’ve grown up with this brand, it’s been important to me that the collections continue to reflect my own personal (and ever-changing) style, really speaking to the language of my closet,” Emanuel shared exclusively with Hypebeast.
“This past Spring was our first foray into seasonal ready-to-wear, and this Fall/Holiday collection feels even more authentic to me – whether it’s the velour sets inspired by my favorite tracksuit in high school, or a fresh take on the classic cable knits that I’ve worn to death in my closet.”
The seasonal foray draws particular design inspiration from Emanuel’s personal connection to the holiday season, something he’s cherished since childhood.
“Growing up, the holidays have always been super important to me and my family, and now I’m excited to be the one hosting everyone each season,” Emanuel recollected. “I wanted the backdrop for this shoot to feel like a nostalgic holiday at home – it’s a fusion of a Charlie Brown Christmas meets the Nightmare Before Christmas meets a very happy holiday. Styled by Ian Bradley (my fave) and shot by Rafael Rios – I believe the vision came to life X 10. It’s the holiday of my dreams.”
Take a closer look at the full range in the lookbook above, and expect the collection to drop for purchase via the brand’s website and brick-and-mortar outposts come this Friday, October 31.
